HYTE's THICC Q60: A Game-Changer in the World of Liquid Coolers

Introduction

HYTE, the lifestyle brand of PC maker iBuypower, has recently unveiled its first all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler, the THICC Q60. This innovative product is set to redefine industry standards with its unique features, including the largest LCD display panel on a liquid cooler and a new wiring scheme called Nexus Link.

The THICC Q60: A Closer Look

The THICC Q60 is an XXL-size AIO liquid cooler that brings two significant innovations. The first is a giant, smartphone-size screen that hovers over your pump unit. This 5-inch panel with a 720-by-1,280 resolution is sourced from an Android smartphone screen maker, according to the company's representatives.

The screen can be tilted for ideal viewability and has some RGB "underglow" backlighting to set off the screen from the rest of the case.

The second innovation is a nifty connection scheme, Nexus Link, that allows you to attach other gear, including fans and RGB strips, in series. This eliminates the need for cabling to each fan, simplifying the setup process.

Performance and Compatibility

The THICC Q60 is designed to deliver superior cooling performance. A Hyte representative noted that this 240mm-class cooler should deliver cooling performance comparable to that of some 360mm AIO models. The radiator is 52mm thick, and the fans are 32mm, providing more surface area to be cooled and more airflow pushed through.

The THICC Q60 is designed to work especially in HYTE's Y40 chassis, which allows for ideal mounting on the motherboard tray next to the motherboard. However, it should work well in other cases too, with the radiator mounted in the front.

Pricing and Availability

The THICC Q60 is expected to be available globally in September 2023 for a starting MSRP of $299.99 USD. The THICC FT12 Fans, which are new offerings from HYTE, are expected to be available globally in September 2023 for a starting MSRP of $79.99 USD for a three-pack.

Conclusion

The THICC Q60 is a testament to HYTE's commitment to innovation and performance. With its unique features and superior cooling performance, it is set to redefine the standards in the world of liquid coolers.
